Planned Activities

There are five parks in the Town of Chenango all open and free of charge from 7:00 AM to sundown daily.

Castle Creek Park, Hider Park and Chenango Bridge Park can be reserved for planned activities by completing this form:

Castle Creek Park

Once referred to as the Castle Creek Civic Association field, this park is located right off NYS Route 11 near the old Highway Department garage in Castle Creek. Here you will find picnic areas, playgrounds, athletic fields, a basketball court and a covered pavilion. The pavilion can be used for showers, birthday parties, reunions, etc.

Chenango Bridge Park & Super Cooper Playground

As its name implies, this park is in Chenango Bridge, on River Rd. 1/2 mile from the intersection of Kattelville Road. This is a popular park with a lovely picnic pavilion and several athletic fields, as well as playground equipment. Many of our local people have great memories of ball games played here. Chenango Bridge Park is also home to the Town’s Music in the Parks summer program.

Super Cooper Playground is ADA accessible.

Broad Acres Park

Broad Acres is a neighborhood park located off Front Street (just past Lowes) on Jacobs Highway. Here you can enjoy swings, a picnic table and a basketball court.

Hider Park

THE PARK IS OPEN!! Newly renovated playground area!
Hider Park is a community park located on Morningside Drive off Front Street in the southern part of the town. Here you will find playgrounds, athletic fields, basketball courts and picnic pavilion. This park has been home to many of the Little League teams throughout the years. You will enjoy the true family and community feeling here. Hider Park is also home to the Town’s Music in the Parks summer program.

**Come and visit the newly renovated Wolfe Park!!**

Located three miles from Front Street on Dorman Rd. this park consists of 182 acres of hiking and nature trails, a waterfall and natural scenic beauty, Open free of charge year round, activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, bird-watching and nature study are encouraged. Visitors and wildlife can enjoy the beauty and serenity of this area. For a solitary walk, an educational hike or just relaxation, Wolfe Park is the right place to visit. Trail maps and guides are available at the park entrance.
